Important Dates and Information:

W-9 & 2024 LA COUNTY FAIR HORTICULTURE WAIVER:
Please note all exhibitors are required to fill out a W-9 with all the correct information. This data will be used to send out exhibitor premium checks to the correct address. Along with the W-9 all exhibitors will be required to download the 2024 LA County Fair Horticulture Waiver, fill it out, save it and upload it into their Showorks entry when prompted to after they have filled out their W-9.

Sessions expire and automatically log off after 20 minutes of inactivity. Ensure you click “Save Cart” if you plan on leaving the computer for more than 20 minutes.

TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT:
You will need to create a new account/password for the 2024 Fair (accounts from previous years are no longer active).
Click “Sign In” in the top right corner, then “choose a type” – “Exhibitor.”
Limit passwords to letters and numbers; no special characters. Passwords are case sensitive.

TO CREATE AN ENTRY:
Click the dropdown menu arrow to choose the “Department” and “Division”. Select the “Class”. Enter any additional entry information. Follow the on-screen instructions to create additional entries.

2023 Adult Home Arts Competition Results

Step 1: Please read the competition information, individual rules for each competition and general entry rules before entering online.

Step 2: Enter Online by February 15, 2024.
You must enter online prior to dropping off your entry, no exceptions. We will no longer be accepting mail in entry forms.

Step 3: Drop off entries on Saturday, March 2, 2024 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No entries will be accepted after 5:00 p.m. If you are unable to drop off your entry, you can send someone in your place or mail your item. This is the only day entries will be accepted.

Entry drop off is located at the LA County Fair – 1101 W. McKinley Ave. Pomona, CA 91768. Please enter through Gate 17 at the intersection of Fairplex Dr. and McKinley Ave and then proceed to the Home Arts Building.

If you are mailing in your entries they must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Please include a duplicate copy of your online entry receipt with your shipment. Entries can be mailed to: LA County Fair / Home Arts, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona, CA 91768

Step 4: Visit your entries on display here at the LA County Fair. All entries will be on display from May 3, 2024 – May 27, 2024, closed Mondays (except Memorial Day), Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Step 5: Pick up entries on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is the ONLY day for pick up. Unclaimed items will be donated to non-profit charities. Bring your claim checks with you. If your claim checks are lost, you must show photo identification before we will release your items. If you are unable to pick up your items you must send someone in your place. Please send them with your claim checks. If they do not have your claim checks you must either call or email our office by 4:00pm Monday, June 3 so we can put them on the item pick up list. The person picking up your items must have photo identification.

Pick up is located at the LA County Fair – 1101 W. McKinley Ave. Pomona, CA 91768. Please enter through Gate 17 at the intersection of Fairplex Dr. and McKinley Ave. and then proceed to the Home Arts Building.

Tips for completing your online entry form:

  • One entry per line only.
    • For example, if you are entering an outfit that includes a hat, dress and booties, each item would need to be placed on its own line so that a tag is made for each item.
  • Entry must be made under the name of the individual whose exhibit it is. Your entry tag will reflect this. No business or fictitious names.
  • Under the section marked “Description” please indicate the color, type or pattern of your entry.
    • For example, if it is a quilt you can write the pattern name, or the color of the quilt, just a basic brief description.
  • Division and class numbers needed to complete your online entry can be found below under each competition category (for example, under Arts & Crafts, Quilting, etc.) and must be indicated on your entry or it will not be processed.

  • Pick up of all items is on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Exhibitors will be notified via e-mail within 10 business days if they are accepted. Contest will be closed when capacity has been reached.

Fair Time Contests

48th DAA – Expo Hall 10

The 48th DAA’s annual Schools’ Agriculture and Nutrition Fair (Ag Fair) will also be taking place during the LA County Fair and are accepting individual and classroom entries here.

LA County Fair is partnering with the 48th District Agricultural Association to present the Schools’ Ag and Nutrition Fair (Ag Fair), a salute to LA County agriculture. The Fair will display entries from schools throughout the county that feature agriculture and nutrition. Teachers and their students may enter by visiting their website.

Step 3: Drop off entries on Saturday, March 2, 2024 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No entries will be accepted after 5:00 p.m. If you are unable to drop off your entry, you can send someone in your place or mail your item. This is the only day entries will be accepted.

48th DAA – Expo Hall 10

The 48th DAA’s annual Schools’ Agriculture and Nutrition Fair (Ag Fair) will also be taking place during the LA County Fair and are accepting individual and classroom entries here.

LA County Fair is partnering with the 48th District Agricultural Association to present the Schools’ Ag and Nutrition Fair (Ag Fair), a salute to LA County agriculture. The Fair will display entries from schools throughout the county that feature agriculture and nutrition. Teachers and their students may enter by visiting their website.

Welcome to the 2023 LA County Fair Youth Landscape Exhibit Competition

Important Dates and Information:

  • Please read the Competition Guide and Fairplex Code of Conduct for rules and regulations before proceeding with online entry.
  • All Entries must be completed ONLINE by April 3, 2023. Click here to enter >>
  • On-line submission of data requires that you agree and will abide with the terms as defined in the published rules and regulations of the LA County Fair Livestock Competition Guide and the Fairplex Code of Conduct.
  • ELIGIBILTY
    • Exhibitor must be a member of a FFA chapter, 4-H Club, or a student at a high school or college to participate.
    • Exhibitors must be at least 9 years old and have the ability to install landscape with limited adult assistance. (example of adult assistance – lifting or moving heavy or bulky materials)
    • Adult involvement is limited to supervision, advice, and limited assistance with landscape installation.
  • Landscape Installations begin on April 17 and will run until May 4 at 8pm.
    • Allowed daily from 7am – 8pm.
    • Enter through Gate 1 and drive to “The Farm”. You will be contacted at a later date with further installation details.
    • All landscape displays must be completed and ready for judging by May 4 at 8pm, no exceptions.
  • Landscapes will be judged May 5 at 8am.
    • NO EXHIBITORS ARE ALLOWED IN THE LANDSCAPE AREA DURING THIS TIME.
  • Landscapes will be on display for duration of the LA County Fair (May 5 – until May 29, 2023).
    • Exhibits shall not be removed from display until after May 29, 2023 at 11pm. PRIOR REMOVAL SHALL BE CAUSE FOR THE LOSS OF RIBBIONS AND PREMIUMS.

  • Enter online by Thursday, February 23, 2023. You must enter online prior to dropping off your entry, no exceptions.
  • Deliver all entries on Saturday, March 11, 2023 between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. only (if entries are mailed, they must arrive by 4 p.m. on March 9, 2023).
  • Deliver entries with your typed measured ingredients list. All measured ingredients lists MUST include the division & class number, and your name. Entries will not be accepted without it.
  • Pick up of display jars only is on Thursday, June 1, 2023 between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. only.


Baked Foods & Confections

  • Enter online by Thursday, March 30, 2023. You must enter online prior to dropping off your entry, no exceptions.

Tablescaping - Now Closed

  • Set up of tables is on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. only.
  • Pick up of all items is on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Exhibitors will be notified via e-mail within 10 business days if they are accepted. Contest will be closed when capacity has been reached.


Fair Time Contests

  • Enter online by Thursday, March 30, 2023.
  • Delivery of entries will vary depending on the contest. Please refer to your contest for dates, times, and delivery instructions.
  • All entries require a typed measured ingredients list to be brought with the item on the day of the contest.
  • All measured ingredients list MUST include your name and the division & class number.
  • All entrants will receive a confirmation packet by the last week of April.


Filling out your online entry form

  1. One entry per line only.
  2. Entry must be made under the name of the individual who made it. Your entry tag will reflect this. No business or fictitious names.
  3. Under the section marked “Description” please indicate the specific flavor or
    type if the class number entered is described as “other, please specify.” If your division and class numbers accurately describe your entry, then you do not need to fill out the section marked “Description.”

Delivery Information
Entry drop off is located at the LA County Fair - 1101 W. McKinley Ave. Pomona, CA 91768. Please enter through Gate 1 off of McKinley Ave, let the guard know that you are here to drop off your entry and they will direct you to the Home Arts Building/Culinary Kitchen. If you are unable to drop off your entry, you can send someone in your place.

SCHOOLS' AGRICULTURE & nUTRITION fAIR (AG FAIR)

The 48th DAA's annual Schools' Agriculture and Nutrition Fair (Ag Fair) will also be taking place during the LA County Fair and are accepting individual and classroom entries here.

LA County Fair is partnering with the 48th District Agricultural Association to present the Schools' Ag and Nutrition Fair (Ag Fair), a salute to LA County agriculture. The Fair will display entries from schools throughout the county that feature agriculture and nutrition. Teachers and their students may enter by visiting their website.
