The L.A. County Fair is looking for the best high school and college aged bands to go head to head with beats and riffs during the 2nd annual Battle of the Bands.

Fairplex reserves the right to stop accepting applications once we’ve reached our capacity.  Spaces are limited so submit your application today!  

PRIZES:

1st Place: $1200 cash
A spot in the 2014 Vans Warped Tour at Fairplex, Backline equipment donated by Fender.

2nd Place:   $800 cash
3rd Place:    $500 cash

JUDGES WILL INCLUDE:
Kevin Lyman – Founder & Producer of Vans Warped Tour
Skip Page – Goldenvoice, Founders and Producers of the Coachella Music Festival
and other music industry representatives.

Competition Rules:

1. - 24 bands will be invited to battle it out at the preliminary competitions at the Fair on Thursdays, September 5, 12, and 19, 2013.
2. - 8 bands will be invited back to the final competition on Thursday, September 26, 2013.
3. -Each band must submit an application, video, sample songs, set list with lyrics, photo of band, and stage plot.
4. - At least 2 members of the band must be high school or college students at the time of the competitions.
5. - No soloists or duos.
