The L.A. County Fair is seeking energetic and dependable groups and individuals to share their time and talents at the 2011 L.A. County Fair (Sept. 3 - Oct. 2).

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. As a volunteer, you’ll be our official ambassador, representing both Fairplex and the Fair, and not just on the grounds, but throughout the community as well. We rely on our ambassadors to inform the public about the wonderful things we do here at Fairplex. There are so many exciting opportunities for Fair volunteers, and we’ll gladly work around your busy schedule. So whether you work full-time, you’re a student or a senior citizen, we can find a spot that fits your interests and your calendar. 

Along with the great memories, new friends and just pure and simple fun you will have as a volunteer at the L.A. County Fair, you will also enjoy the following benefits.

Lead Volunteers:
Responsible for supervising Gold and General Volunteers during the Fair. Lead volunteers also assist in scheduling volunteers for the Fair as well as some year-round activities. Individuals are personally selected and asked to become Lead Volunteers. Consideration is given to those who have completed a minimum of 2 years of service as a Gold Volunteer.

Gold Volunteers (24 Hours or More):
Gold Volunteers help in various areas of the Fair and are responsible for helping to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all Fair guests as well as other volunteers.

  • Season Pass/ Badge*
  • Parking in volunteer lot (subject to availability)
  • Invitation to Volunteer Thank You Event

General Volunteers (less than 24 hours):
General Volunteers help in various areas of the Fair and are responsible for helping to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all Fair guests as well as other volunteers.

  • Ticket to Fair for days served*
  • Parking for days served

* Service as a volunteer and all volunteer benefits are contingent upon a successful background screening as well as successful progress of volunteer activities. L.A. County Fair reserves the right to cancel any and all volunteer benefits (including entrance passes and parking passes) if the volunteer fails to uphold the policies and procedures of the volunteer program at Fairplex as detailed in the Volunteer Handbook.
