There’s 15 action-packed racing days starting day one with a match race pitting Fairplex Park’s all-time winning jockeys Martin Pedroza and David Flores in a sixth race, mile and a-sixteenth jockey to jockey, horse to horse duel from starting gate to winner’s circle. Over the years Pedroza has racked up 11 consecutive top jockey titles with 606 wins and Flores has five totaling 338 wins, but just one stakes race separates the two—Pedroza holds 65 and Flores 64. These two champions have provided excitement and memories for many a race fan and the crowd will be cheering their favorite Thursday, Sept. 9.
Don't miss 15 days of live thoroughbred racing at Fairplex Park during the 2010 L.A. County Fair, September 9 - 27. There will be no racing on Monday the 13, 20, dark Tuesdays.
Now in its 72nd season, the sport of kings is available to all race fans during the Fair, Thursday, Sept. 9 – Monday, Sept. 27 (dark Monday 13 & 20 and Tuesdays). The excitement takes place at Fairplex Park. Post time is 1 p.m. everyday (dark Tuesdays)
Fair admission gates open Wednesday - Friday at 11 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. ; Horse Racing admission gates open Monday at 11 a.m. The Fair is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
