80z All Stars

For over a decade, the 80'z All-Stars have been the premiere 80's tribute band in Southern California and have had the privilege of sharing the stage with such 80's icons as Berlin, The Romantics, Foreigner, The Bangles, and many more. From New Wave to Pop to Glam Rock, you'll go back in time when you hear all your favorites performed with an energy that can't be matched! With their hard-driving music and electrifying personalities, band members Nigel Naughty, Motley Who, Devo 2.0, and Karate Kid will have the crowd dancing in the street! A Living Daylight

Poptronic is the perfect name for the debut full length album of this Los Angeles based group, combining hooky electronic elements with traditional pop formulas. A Living Daylight is surfacing from their yearlong recording experience in the dark, wet undergrounds of downtown LA into the bright, life giving sunlight which is their own creative interpretation of the future of their music careers. Looking ahead, the blue sky of deserved musical success, we will all have one eye tightly squinted , and the other blissfully focused on the bright glare of the right-brained, high conceptual life that A Living Daylight represents; they’re a confident pick for the next blow up group of 2010. Barnyard Racers Pig Racing

Come see the most unique racing show presented in today’s market!  All Creatures Barnyard Racers has the fastest racing pigs in North America, who will race snout to snout and slab to slab, slippin’ and slidin’ and kickin’ up mud as they streak down the “ham stretch” to reach their ultimate goal – an OREO cookie!  Don’t miss the exciting element to our swifty swine competition – racing chickens!  Watch these cluckers as they chase each other around the track and try not to “fowl” their opponents as they vie for the position of top bird.  

You’ll have a squeal of a good time Sept. 4 – Oct. 3 in FairView Farms, presented by Ralphs.

C.G. Ryche

National PBS Artist and Master Percussionist, C.G. Ryche has been called a “visionary composer” and a “modern day Roger Waters” and for the first time brings his world-class band to perform live at the L.A. County Fair. C.G.’s live concerts have been called “Pink Floyd meets Stomp” and his live concert DVD was called a “must see for the whole family” by PBS and currently airs nationwide on public television. Ryche's live performance is a multicultual journey that introduces people of all ages to the beauty & the "X-Factor" of percussion from around the world. Feel the beat Sept. 30 at the Coca-Cola Stage.

Celebrate Asian Culture Day at the Fair - Sunday, Sept. 26

Come out and celebrate Asian Culture on Sunday Sept. 26 and watch your favorite performers in the building 4 stage. Enjoy performances by Clara Chung at 2:55p.m., Dawen at 5:25p.m., and Jason Yang at 5:55 p.m. in Buidling 4 Stage.

 

Chinatown Kung Fu & Lion Dance Troupe will perform in the parade and at 2:20 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. in the Building 4 Stage. 

 

Don't miss special performance by Quest Crew at 1:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. followed by a meet & greet.





Chinatown Kung Fu & Lion Dance Troupe

The Chinatown Kung Fu & Lion Dance Troupe is a multi-generational, multi-ethnic, grassroots organization based in Chinatown Los Angeles, which practices lion dance and kung fu based on Southern Shaolin freedom-fighting traditions. Since 2006 the Troupe has performed for all types of venues and events throughout LA and OrangeCounty, including grand openings, festivals, parades, weddings, graduations, and community events.

Chino Espinoza

Born in Costa Rica, this L.A. based salsa bandleader is taking the salsa industry by storm! This talented group has rapidly earned the respect and popularity in the Los Angeles salsa scene. With the added talents of the rest of the band, this group has beocome one of the hottest acts in town! Be sure to check them out live - it's a real salsa treat!

Clara Chung

Having been a closet musician most of her life, Clara has only recently revealed her talent to the world. In a short period of time, she has won prestigious competitions such as Kollaboration 10, ISA 09: Los Angeles and the KAC Media Creative Juice Night. Clara has just begun to capture the hearts and minds of the music community worldwide. Her quirky charm, creative ideas, unlimited instrumental and vocal talent has allowed people to see Clara as the next big singer/songwriter. Clara’s music can best be described as a synergy of folk/pop/rock sound that when blended together creates a unique experience. She has performed at renowned venues such as The White House Dept. of Education, Hollywood Bowl, Shrine Auditorium, Hotel Cafe and more where she performed for crowds of up to 18,000 people. In addition, she has performed alongside distinguished artists such as the Far East Movement, Wonder Girls, 2PM, Marie Digby and countless other talents.





Community Entertainment

An assortment of community acts, including musical performances, dance exhibitions, and other special entertainment from Southern California schools and arts academies, will be featured throughout the Fair for our guests’ enjoyment.  Some 5,000 performers representing different cultures and performance styles are expected to take to the stage to showcase their various talents.

Conjunto Los Pochos

Conjunto Los Pochos has lived their music at dance halls, weddings, and a variety of venues from the eastside to the westside, throughout Southern California and across the country. They have developed a unique sound that combines elements of both Texas and Mexico conjunto styles with original music, as well as classic favorites. The band has performed alongside legendary musicians including Poncho Sánchez, Los Dos Gilbertos, Flaco Jimenez and Little Joe y La Familia. Los Pochos has arrived at the year 2010 successfully presenting a genuine L.A. expression of traditional conjunto music to a steadily growing audience that cuts across race, nationality, and social status.
