High School Marching Band Parade Competition
The L.A. County Fair invites your school to participate in the High School Marching Band Parade Competition this September! The Fair has always been an advocate for local performing arts programs, and this competition is the ideal way to showcase your school’s band before all of Southern California.

KaraokeFest 2008
Karaokefest 2008 is a one-day event that features numerous outdoor Karaoke locations, an expo, and a main stage production where finalists compete for championship titles. There will be approximately 5-7 stations throughout the grounds where you can join the fun and sing for your family and friends.

Budweiser Clydesdales
How about a Meet & Greet with these magnificent horses? The horses in the team will be primed for photos with fans and the opportunity to get an upclose look at the beautiful equines. The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales, representatives of Anheuser-Busch for more than 70 years, make hundreds of appearances annually, logging some 100,000 miles. The team is carefully groomed and harnessed before each appearance. Each harness weighs 130 pounds, and the entire set of eight is valued at more than $80,000. The harness is made from brass and leather, and the stitching is pure linen thread. The Budweiser Clydesdales and their familiar red, white, and brass Studebaker-built beer wagon make appearances at the Fairplex Park Budweiser Grandstand during horse races.
The exhibit is located in Palms Marketplace neighborhood. Presented by Budweiser.

Parades
Please join us each weekday of the Fair as we honor our local communities and their heroes with a grand parade dedicated especially for them! Each parade will highlight an individual community and their local organizations and businesses, and will include elements from each Fair neighborhood: high school bands, grounds acts and entertainment, classic cars, floats, and much more! Specially-themed parades will march through the grounds on Saturdays, including “America the Beautiful,” “Sports, Youth and Education,” “A Celebration of Diversity,” and “Community Carnivale."

Senior Health Fair
Held on Redwood Street to complement Senior Wednesdays. The Health Fair will feature entertainment, products, information and valuable health screenings for diabetes, balance, blood pressure, lung function and body fat. L.A. County Fair Raffle
The Los Angeles County Fair Association and Pomona Rotary sponsored a raffle during the 2008 Fair. The Grand Prize was a 1965 Corvette Sting Ray, red with black interior, an ocean cruise for two to Alaska, worth $3000, and the third place winner claimed a $1,000 gas card.
