Your adventure begins the minute you approach the Flower & Garden Building where you are transported to another world by the architecture and the hint of the beauty that lies within.  As you move towards the building, experience the reenactment of a volatile volcano as it gets ready to light up the evening sky.  You will really believe you are in Hawaii when the volcano begins emitting fire and flowing lava right in front of your very eyes.  Once inside, your senses will come alive as you smell the aroma of the tropical flowers, hear the beat of the Hawaiian music while performers teach you the art of native dances, and gaze at a gorgeous sunset as the night draws near.

The island experience continues in the Atrium as outdoor living takes on a paradise feel. Pick out your favorite beach living rooms while you tour the many vignettes throughout the winding path of the atrium.  Discover the wide variety of tropical plants that even those without a green thumb can plant in their own backyards to give it the sense of living on an island wonderland.  Participate in our many workshops and seminars for tips on such things as how to make a lei and the art of floral arrangements.  You won’t need to board a plane to experience the Hawaiian lifestyle – just come to the LA County Fair!
