From quilts to felting, pottery to knitting and crochet, embellished clothing to antique jewelry, there is something wondrous waiting for you at the Tapestry exhibit.

Who knew that your grandmother’s brooch isn’t to be cherished just because it was hers, but treasured for its heirloom craftsmanship?

Or that a fabric remnant could be reborn into a beautiful quilt that tells a love story? Tapestry presents an opportunity to not only view thousands of

hand-crafted entries on display, but to learn how to create them.

A variety of hands-on workshops let you try it yourself.  Learn from the experts or just watch the activities – there are hundreds of demonstrations happening all day, everyday.  Take a load off and spend the afternoon learning to crochet and knit in the Knitting Lounge, throw a pot in our pottery studio, or make something out of nothing watching our “Trash to Treasure” demonstrations. Embellish a new shirt with fabric from an old suit jacket or learn to felt with that old wool sweater! In Tapestry, we turn the words “I wish I could do that!” into “Look what I’ve created!”
